SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY AND OUTREACH ACTIVITIES

At SSCDS. the primary motto is to make dental care accessible and affordable to all. We firmly believe in empowering the community we live in and have been constantly involved in organizing allied skill enhancement programs and social upliftment activities.
Regular village level screening and treatment camps are conducted twice a week in rural areas around Vikarabad district to increase dental awareness in the local population and make dental care within reach for all.
Additionally, school camps are scheduled, once every month, to target importance of oral hygiene from young age and inculcate good dental habits earlier on.
Apart from these camps, special camps are conducted to orphanages, special needs centres, central jail, tribal areas, local police departments, small- & large-scale factories, denture camps for senior citizens as part of our attempt to fulfil social responsibility of making dental care reachable to all.
NSS Activities
Other social outreach activities we have been involved with, are train the trainers program, tobacco quit programs, nutrition programs along with Anganwadi workers. As part of NSS unit, numerous activities have been conducted such as road traffic safety programs, Women’s day programs, Haritha Haram plantation group, No tobacco day rallies, blood donation camps for thalassemia patients in collaboration with Red Cross Society, Hyderabad and village level teaching programs.
Village Adoption
Since many years, SSCDS as an educational institute, adopts one village every year and conducts a 7- day program in the village, directed towards improving the welfare of that region. Multifaceted activities are then planned keeping in mind all sectors of society like kids, adults, women and senior citizens. Some examples of programs overseen in the past include women hygiene awareness, medical and dental camps, school improvement projects, mother well-being programs, kids screening, sports events to engage kids physically and emotionally in maintenance of health.
